 WHAT IS AN OPEN PARTY?

An open party trip is a trip when we sell individual tickets to anglers who want to fish but don't have a group large enough to charter the entire boat.  Check the "Open Party" page for upcoming trips.  If you have a small group of 3 or 4 anglers and want a specific date, just give us a call and with a little notice, we can usually find you a couple new friends to help share the cost of a charter.

HOW DO I BOOK?:

A 50% deposit is required to reserve the PHANTOM.  This can be done by either Check or Credit Card.  There is a 3% processing fee if you choose to use a credit card. Call Michelle at 562-221-5017 to book.

HOW CAN  I PAY THE BALANCE?:

The balance is due 1 week prior to departure if you are paying  by check, 1 day prior if you are paying by credit card, or at the time of departure if you are paying by cash.  Make all checks payable to “Phantom Sportfishing” and send to: 375 Redondo Ave #173 Long Beach, Ca 90814. Note your charter date on the check and make sure to include your contact information (Name, phone# & email address)

Pierpoint Landing offers overnight parking in a designated “Fisherman’s Parking” lot located about 500 feet from the landing. You should unload your gear near the Tackle Office, and have someone in your party purchase a parking token ($3 per vehicle) at the Landing Office. There are dock carts available on the dock for easy transporting your belongings. Then you can park the vehicle in the designated lot.

IF I ARRIVE EARLY, WHAT IS THERE TO DO?

If you plan to arrive extra early, there are lots of Bars & Restaurants at The Pike” within walking distance of the boat.

WHAT TIME DO YOU LEAVE?

WHAT WILL I CATCH?

The local waters of Southern California supply year round fishing for bass, halibut, rockfish, with seasonal migrants such as Barracuda, Yellowtail, and White Sea bass. We will take you to the most likely spots to catch fish. Our crew will be happy to provide instruction and give you fishing tips. Just Ask! And remember, it’s called Fishing….Not Catching!

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN A PRIVATE CHARTER?

Your charter price includes rental of the boat, bait, and an experienced crew of 2 licensed Captains and a Deck Hand.  Fresh hot coffee is made round the clock at your request and our crew will happily clean & fillet your catch. Bunk pillows & blankets are provided for you also.

WHAT SHOULD WE  TIP?

Crew gratuity is not included or required, but it is very much appreciated. The industry standard is 15%-20% of the charter price for our 3 man crew to share. Our crew works hard for it!
